Team RTT Tube Jockeys is proud to announce the addition of two more suckers that decided to sign their life away to the lemon.
Darnel Arnold - Driver #5
Joel DeSloover - Pit Crew
If you build it they will come!
Oh yeah, and we've paid our fees for the race. So it's official, we're racin'

all about performance
When you are building a race car, something you need to have is a high performance machine. In order for us to give that impression, we decided to add a few upgrades to the GLI. Check it!
Custom performance exhaust and...

Super super custom rear spoiler!

One last note, Jeff Getchell is still going to drive for us even AFTER seeing the car. The power of the lemon!

Mom mom mom mom mom mom lois lois mum momo

Check these bad boys out! We only need one. Somone need the other one? Or maybe it's just time to roll 2 deep in this 24 hour excursion. And the best part is I really got 2 for 1. Can't beat that deal!

And there aren't too many exterior shots of this bad boy, so here's one from the first day of tear down. I always hate it when someone can't just step back and take a picture of car and this is no beauty, but still, I guess it's all about the tease now.

Team Update...
While we are trying to lock down a few more people to help us out in the pits for the race weekend, I thought I'd introduce the brave few who have pledged their allegiance to the Wagon of Vaj.
Allen Pinkerton - Driver
Curtis Evey - Driver
Jeff Getchell - Driver
Gian Moriconi - Driver
Thanks guys!

Coming apart, together.
The dashboard is out...and this is a milestone, a turning point if you will. This is no small job.
We started pulling parts from the rear of the car forward and although visually, our progress has been astounding, we understand what lies ahead and the worst is yet to come. This weekend will mark the end of the interior and bring with it the rust bucket that we have come to know as the engine. Allen probably has a better feel for the car since he still remains the only member of the team to have driven it, but it's starting and running, so I think we have some hope.
Hope you say? Yes. Hope.
First, RTT USA(www.rttusa.com) has agreed to sponsor our team's entry fee. So thanks to them our team members are now only responsible for their personal expenses. We are interested in acquiring more sponsorship prior to the race, but have yet to explore other options. Begging for money is hard work!
We've been actively trying to buy a racing seat, and find a roll cage that we can fit into the car. We also are looking for some cheap sport suspension to help us out on the track. These thing s qualify as hope in my book. The little pieces that will make this bucket fit in on the track.
Here's a little taste of what we have in store...Enjoy!

Day 1 or 2 or something?

So we got to work on the interior. Pulled a lot of stuff out including all the windows and the regulators. Even sold the whole interior on the first day of tear down. Here's the inside of a jetta.

A lot happened in two hours and then the lovely mugginess of Michigan and the mosquitoes and just lack of light and really any tools drove us to call it early. We continued to honor our rotating Pabst light even though we were done with the car.

Shot from inside the garage. Behold the glory of the Pabst Light!
