So here it is.

The beginning of this mess. A 1990 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 16v. With a 195K mi and rubber on all four corners, it passed for a lemon.

Looking under the hood at all the rusted components, I tell the owner, "Wow, lots of rust." He says, "It's be sittin." fair enough.
